SUPPORT FOR KIDS WITH DISABILITIES, FINANCIAL DISADVANTAGE EXTENDED A FURTHER THREE YEARS
Share
Thanks to First National Real Estate, almost 200,000 disadvantaged kids across NSW and the ACT will continue to receive a fair go. Having already completed two years of sponsorship of Variety’s Postie Bike Dash, First National Real Estate has now committed to a further three years of sponsorship!
The famous ride, which takes place throughout northern NSW using classic Australia Honda Step Through motorcycles, underpins Variety’s support for kids living with special needs, illness or disadvantage.
‘First National’s members have supported the communities in which they live and work for nearly four decades through a wide range of sponsorships. Postie Bike Dash dovetails perfectly with our national sponsorship of Kids Helpline, the 24/7 support hotline for kids between 5 and 25 years of age!
The network of independent agents has contributed more than $40,000 to the event over the past two years and has formally committed to a further three years. At this year’s event, three riders will represent First National Real Estate – David Doherty, Nicholas Taggart and Craig Orvad.
Starting on 2 November, participants depart from Tamworth, then loop around northern NSW stopping at various schools where donations will be made, and at First National Real Estate offices locations, before returning to Tamworth by 8 November.
Variety’s Head of Regional Development, Jason Bourke, said Variety was grateful to have the support of First National Real Estate as the major sponsors of the Postie Bike Dash and to have a number of First National staff on the event.
“Funds raised on the Postie Bike Dash are used to support kids in need living in communities across NSW and ACT with practical and tangible supports such as grants for mobility equipment, education supplies and assistive technology.”
‘The Postie Bike Dash is visiting numerous regional towns and communities where First National operates and we are looking forward to raising in excess of $100,000 through the Dash this year to support Variety’s work with kids in need.
